For as long as I can remember, my oldest daughter, Kami, has loved helping children, and dreamed of traveling the world. She experienced a couple of short-term missions trips to Haiti and Mexico during her senior year of high school and now she has an amazing opportunity to travel to Australia and Papua New Guinea with YWAM (Youth With A Mission).
Kami recently left for Sydney Australia, where she and five other girls spent a few days getting acclimated to life on the other side of the world before traveling on to Townsville Australia where they are attending three months of extensive hands-on training in preparation for Papua New Guinea.
While in Papua New Guinea, Kami and her team will help provide medical and humanitarian support, and a whole lotta TLC, to people in remote villages. The entire trip will last about 5–6 months.
We are SO PROUD of Kami. She has raised over $3,000 on her GoFundMe page, and EARNED over $2500 at summer jobs so far. She still needs about $4000 over the next few weeks to reach her goal.
